Gabriele Landi: Secondo te il sacro ha ancora una sua importanza nell’arte di oggi e nel mondo in cui viviamo?

Enza Monetti: Cibus Matris è il titolo  di un mio lavoro di molti anni fa. Mia madre preparò il ragù, salsa di pomodoro che qui a sud è un rito, dura due giorni, e inonda di profumo tutta la casa. Ad ogni giro di mestolo nel magma rosso, uno scatto, un’emozione, ne scelsi sette in modalità cibachrome posti sull’altare maggiore della sede espositiva. Nel gesto del nutrimento di una madre per il proprio figlio c’è tutta la potenza della sacralità, quella linea guida nel pensiero che determina attenzione, valore, cura. Il cibo della madre è soprattutto alimento d’amore totale, nutrimento spirituale.

C’è sempre una centralità nei miei progetti, un altare naturale intorno al quale costruire l’idea ed esplorarne il senso. Ogni scelta espressiva, dalla danza, alla scrittura, al canto, alla musica, all’arte tutta, coltiva un seme sacro e lo rilascia sotto forma di creatività, di nuova visione, di speranza.

Tra l’essere umano e il robot esiste una differenza che non si può inventare o riprodurre, quell’area della coscienza che determina sentimento, capacità di meraviglia, stupore, crisi profondali, quello spazio che genera passione, delusione, immerge nell’abisso dell’anima dove perdersi o ritrovarsi, che identifica vie di uscita per la libertà, ove il seme sacro spinge a coltivare la vita, a germogliare quell’energia pura che attraversa la mente, arriva al cuore, per poi dar vita all’esperienza di un sorriso, di una lacrima.

Gabriele Landi: In your opinion, does sacred still have an importance in today’s art and in the world we live in?

Enza Monetti: Cibus Matris is the title of a work of mine from many years ago. My mother prepared the ragù, a tomato sauce that is a ritual here in the south, lasts two days, and floods the whole house with fragrance. At each turn of the ladle in the red magma, a shot, an emotion, I chose seven in cibachrome mode placed on the main altar of the exhibition venue. In the gesture of a mother feeding her child there is all the power of sacredness, that guiding line in thought that determines attention, value, care. The mother’s food is above all food of total love, spiritual nourishment.

There is always a centrality in my projects, a natural altar around which to build the idea and explore its meaning. Every expressive choice, from dance, to writing, to singing, to music, to all art, cultivates a sacred seed and releases it in the form of creativity, of new vision, of hope.

Between the human being and the robot, there is a difference that cannot be invented or reproduced, that area of consciousness that determines feeling, the capacity for wonder, amazement, profound crises, that space that generates passion, disappointment, plunges into the abyss of the soul where one can lose oneself or find oneself, that identifies ways out for freedom, where the sacred seed pushes to cultivate life, to germinate that pure energy that crosses the mind, reaches the heart, and then gives life to the experience of a smile, of a tear.

Gabriele Landi : Selon vous, le sacré a-t-il encore une importance dans l’art d’aujourd’hui et dans le monde dans lequel nous vivons ?

Enza Monetti : Cibus Matris est le titre d’une œuvre que j’ai réalisée il y a de nombreuses années. Ma mère préparait le ragù, une sauce tomate qui est un rituel ici dans le sud, qui dure deux jours et qui inonde toute la maison de parfums. À chaque tour de louche dans le magma rouge, une prise de vue, une émotion, j’en ai choisi sept en mode cibachrome placées sur l’autel principal du lieu d’exposition. Dans le geste d’une mère qui nourrit son enfant, il y a toute la puissance du sacré, cette ligne directrice de la pensée qui détermine l’attention, la valeur, le soin. La nourriture de la mère est avant tout une nourriture d’amour total, une nourriture spirituelle.

Il y a toujours une centralité dans mes projets, un autel naturel autour duquel construire l’idée et explorer sa signification. Chaque choix expressif, de la danse à l’écriture, du chant à la musique, de l’art en général, cultive une graine sacrée et la libère sous forme de créativité, de nouvelle vision, d’espoir.

Entre l’être humain et le robot, il y a une différence qui ne peut être ni inventée ni reproduite, cette zone de la conscience qui détermine le sentiment, la capacité d’émerveillement, de stupéfaction, de crises profondes, cet espace qui génère la passion, la déception, la plongée dans l’abîme de l’âme où l’on peut se perdre ou se retrouver, qui identifie les voies de la liberté, où la graine sacrée pousse à cultiver la vie, à faire germer cette énergie pure qui traverse l’esprit, atteint le cœur, puis donne vie à l’expérience d’un sourire, d’une larme.

Gabriele Landi: Hat Ihrer Meinung nach das Heiligen in der heutigen Kunst und in der Welt, in der wir leben, noch eine Bedeutung?

Enza Monetti: Cibus Matris ist der Titel eines Werks von mir, das viele Jahre zurückliegt. Meine Mutter bereitete das Ragù zu, eine Tomatensauce, die hier im Süden ein Ritual ist, zwei Tage dauert und das ganze Haus mit Duft erfüllt. Bei jeder Drehung der Kelle im roten Magma, einer Aufnahme, einer Emotion, wählte ich sieben im Cibachrome-Modus, die auf dem Hauptaltar des Ausstellungsortes platziert wurden. In der Geste einer Mutter, die ihr Kind füttert, liegt die ganze Kraft der Heiligkeit, die Leitlinie des Denkens, die die Aufmerksamkeit, den Wert, die Sorgfalt bestimmt. Die Nahrung der Mutter ist vor allem eine Nahrung der totalen Liebe, eine geistige Nahrung.

In meinen Projekten gibt es immer einen zentralen Punkt, einen natürlichen Altar, um den herum ich die Idee aufbauen und ihre Bedeutung erforschen kann. Jede Ausdrucksform, vom Tanz über das Schreiben, den Gesang und die Musik bis hin zur gesamten Kunst, kultiviert einen heiligen Samen und setzt ihn in Form von Kreativität, neuer Vision und Hoffnung frei.

Zwischen dem Menschen und dem Roboter gibt es einen Unterschied, der weder erfunden noch reproduziert werden kann, jenen Bereich des Bewusstseins, der das Gefühl bestimmt, die Fähigkeit zum Staunen, zum Erstaunen, zu tiefen Krisen, jenen Raum, der Leidenschaft und Enttäuschung hervorbringt, der in die Abgründe der Seele eintaucht, wo man sich verlieren oder finden kann, der Auswege in die Freiheit aufzeigt, wo der heilige Samen darauf drängt, das Leben zu kultivieren, jene reine Energie zu keimen, die den Verstand durchquert, das Herz erreicht und dann der Erfahrung eines Lächelns, einer Träne Leben verleiht.
