Lavoro in un sottosuolo. Infatti non dico mai “vado”, dico “scendo a lavorare”. Tra coloro che vengono a sapere che il mio studio è sotterraneo c’è chi mi compatisce. Non sanno che per me è invece la più ideale delle situazioni. Scendere a lavorare a me pare naturale così come mi pare logico dover salire per portare in superficie un lavoro ultimato. Cos’altro dovrei fare? In cos’altro dovrebbe consistere il mio lavoro?

I work underground. In fact I never say ‘I go’, I say ‘I go down to work’. Among those who learn that my studio is underground, there are those who pity me. They do not know that for me it is the most ideal situation. Going down to work seems as natural to me as it seems logical to have to go up to bring a completed work to the surface. What else should I do? What else should my work consist of?
