Parola d’Artista: Secondo te che importanza ha il sacro nell’arte di oggi e nel mondo in cui viviamo?

Vittorio Corsini: Il mondo economico, sociale e culturale avrà sempre più bisogno di quelle energie che definiamo connessioni, quelle che per loro natura costruiscono legami ed esperienze profonde dell’altro e dell’universo.

Tutte le relazioni che riteniamo importanti si creano esclusivamente attraverso oggetti sacri o grazie a riti e pratiche. Gli artisti hanno da sempre il potere di saper costruire con le loro opere santuari aperti all’altro; l’arte, come dico spesso, semplicemente ti guarda e ti prende per mano.

Libri, candele, mantelli, cerchi di fuoco, simboli come l’acqua o le costellazioni sono fin dall’antichità considerate pratiche spirituali e religiose in cui il medium diventa elemento sacro.

Quanti artisti hanno lavorato sul libro o sulle costellazioni… gli oggetti sacri sono archetipi ed è per questo che trascendono, formano rito a prescindere dal contesto.

Il problema della società contemporanea non è tanto il sacro e il suo valore, ma l’oggetto in sé perché in una società liquida non c’è spazio per materia che diviene respiro.

The economic, social and cultural world will increasingly need those energies we call connections, those that by their very nature build deep connections and experiences of each other and the universe.

All relationships that we consider important are created exclusively through sacred objects or through rituals and practices. Artists have always had the power to know how to build shrines with their works that are open to the other; art, as I often say, simply looks at you and takes you by the hand.

Books, candles, cloaks, circles of fire, symbols such as water or constellations have since ancient times been considered spiritual and religious practices in which the medium becomes a sacred element.

How many artists have worked on books or constellations… sacred objects are archetypes and that is why they transcend, form ritual regardless of context.

The problem of contemporary society is not so much the sacred and its value, but the object itself because in a liquid society there is no room for matter that becomes breath.
