Il disegno, anche se in maniera non convenzionale, è sempre stata un’espressione presente nel mio lavoro. E’ l’inizio di una trasformazione ed il testimone del nostro passaggio. Nella serie Corpi Sottili (2004) disegnavo con la china in una vaschetta di acqua e riprendevo l’immagine con la macchina fotografica per fissare, credo, qualcosa di effimero e renderlo perpetuo. Dal 2020 ho iniziato a sperimentare una tecnica che combina l’elemento gestuale del disegno con scarti di materiale fotografico utilizzando strisce di emulsione di Polaroid come strumento per segnare la carta. Rimangono segni leggeri, sottili che appaiono sospesi ed in transito a testimonianza di una memoria recuperata e trasformata. Il disegno in questo caso è il risultato di una metamorfosi e presenta tracce abitate da storie rimosse e trasformate come anche da stratificazioni nascoste diventando un mezzo di rappresentazione in bilico tra passato e presente. E’ quel che resta.

Drawing, even if in an unconventional way, has always been an expression in my work. It is the beginning of a transformation and the witness of our passage. In the series Corpi Sottili (2004) I drew with Indian ink in a tub of water and took the image with my camera to fix, I think, something ephemeral and make it perpetual. Since 2020 I have been experimenting with a technique that combines the gestural element of drawing with scraps of photographic material using strips of Polaroid emulsion as a tool to mark the paper. Light, subtle marks remain that appear suspended and in transit, bearing witness to a recovered and transformed memory. The drawing in this case is the result of a metamorphosis and presents traces inhabited by removed and transformed histories as well as hidden stratifications, becoming a means of representation poised between past and present. It is what remains.
