Gabriele Landi: Secondo te il tema del sacro ha ancora una sua importanza nell’arte di oggi e nel mondo in cui viviamo?

Deborah Graziano: Penso che ogni linguaggio artistico abbia un’impronta sacra, spesso folle, e che quanto più parta da un’esigenza, da una necessità profonda, tanto più si avvicini ad una dimensione spirituale, quindi in questo senso, credo che ogni periodo abbia forti legami col sacro, anche senza averne piena consapevolezza, o per quanto si tenda a pensare che riguardi il passato o tematiche di carattere religioso.

Gabriele Landi: In your opinion, does the theme of the sacred still have an importance in today’s art and in the world we live in?

Deborah Graziano: I think that every artistic language has a sacred imprint, often a crazy one, and that the more it starts from a need, from a profound necessity, the closer it gets to a spiritual dimension, so in this sense, I think that every period has strong links with the sacred, even without being fully aware of it, or however much we tend to think that it concerns the past or religious themes.

Deborah Graziano : Je pense que chaque langage artistique a une empreinte sacrée, souvent folle, et que plus il part d’un besoin, d’une nécessité profonde, plus il se rapproche d’une dimension spirituelle. En ce sens, je pense que chaque époque a des liens étroits avec le sacré, même sans en être pleinement conscient, ou même si nous avons tendance à penser qu’il s’agit du passé ou de thèmes religieux.

Deborah Graziano: Ich glaube, dass jede künstlerische Sprache eine sakrale Prägung hat, oft eine verrückte, und dass sie sich einer spirituellen Dimension umso mehr annähert, je mehr sie von einem Bedürfnis, einer tiefen Notwendigkeit ausgeht. In diesem Sinne glaube ich, dass jede Epoche starke Verbindungen zum Sakralen hat, auch ohne dass man sich dessen voll bewusst ist, oder wie sehr man auch dazu neigt, einen Bezug zur Vergangenheit oder zu religiösen Themen zu sehen.
